What is World Class Sparring?
World Class Division is for Black Belts age 10-32. For the Seniors, we will be using the Olympic Weight Divisions Fin/Fly, Bantam/Feather, Light/Welter, and Middle/Heavy.

- 10-11 years : YOUTH
- 12-14 years : CADET
- 15-17 years : JUNIOR
- 18-32 years: SENIOR

Kyoroogi Divisions: The YLI Tournament Organizing Committee reserves the right to make modifications to the divisions to provide fair and sufficient competition for all competitors. In the event that the YLITOC cannot find a suitable match, we will attempt to arrange an exhibition match. If a suitable match cannot be made, you will be awarded a gold medal for an uncontested win.
World Ranking Points:
This year we will be participating in 2 events, both the individual and team match divisions at the 2017 Chuncheon Korea Open! Each event has a possible of 20 points!

WIN A FREE TRIP TO COMPETE AT G-2 KOREA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Korea have generously sponsored this prize for an all expense paid trip to the Korea Open (first week of July) for our winners in the World Class Senior Sparring Division. The team will visit historical Korean sites, learn about Korean culture, eat delicious Korean cuisine and cross train with University Teams and Korea taekwondo teams and represent USA at the 2017 Korea Open Championship in Chuncheon, Korea.
SPARRING COMPETITION WINNERS
1st place winners in the World Class Division Black Belt Senior men and women division in Olympic weight divisions: Fin/Fly, Bantam/Feather, Light/Welter, Middle/Heavy will win the all expense paid trip to compete at WTF sanctioned G-2 Korea Open Championship courtesy of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Korea.
